Bond It Patination Oil

Bond It Patination Oil has been specially formulated to provide a protective coating for newly installed leadwork.
In damp or wet weather conditions, new lead can on occasion develop an uneven powdery white, non-adherent coating of carbonate. This can be washed off by rainfall and cause staining on materials below. To counteract this, Bond It developed patination oil to prevent this from occurring.
Application
PATINATION OIL should be applied as soon as possible, immediately after each step of the lead work and certainly not later than the end of the working day.
Lead must be completely dry before application.
Apply at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C.
1. Shake the can vigorously for at least 2 minutes before use and occasionally during application.
2. Apply the oil with a soft absorbent cloth.
3. Work horizontally from top to bottom maintaining a wet lower edge. DO NOT USE A CIRCULAR SCRUBBING ACTION.
4. Ensure application is complete before any rain.
Note: 500ml will cover approximately 30 m2 and 1 Litre covers approximately 60 m2
